Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the ground beef. Stir and cook until the onion becomes translucent.
  4. Add the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, cream of mushroom soup, dried oregano, dried basil, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch (23x33 cm) baking dish. Spread it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
  7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
