Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the ground beef. Stir and cook until the onion becomes translucent.
- Add the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, cream of mushroom soup, dried oregano, dried basil, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch (23x33 cm) baking dish. Spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
