Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- ⅔ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cardamom
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the cream, milk, sugar, and spices. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is steaming and hot. Do not let it come to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract. Let cool to room temperature, about 15 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish and freeze for 1 hour. Stir the mixture with a fork and return to the freezer for another hour.
- Repeat this process every hour for 3-4 hours, or until the mixture is frozen and has a creamy texture.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month.
