Ingredients
- 6 cups cubed white or wheat bread (1" cubes)
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 3/4 cup maple syrup
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the cream, maple syrup, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
- Add the cubed bread and stir until all the bread is evenly coated.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, butter, and pecans. Sprinkle over the top of the bread pudding.
- Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until top is golden brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with caramel sauce and serve warm.
