Preheat oven to 350°F. Place a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Rub the prime rib roast with olive oil and season with garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, thyme, oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Add butter to the skillet and place the prime rib roast in the pan. Sear on each side for 3-4 minutes.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
Remove the skillet from the oven and transfer the prime rib roast to a plate. Cover with foil and let rest for 10 minutes.
Pour the beef stock into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Whisk in the flour and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the gravy is thick.
Slice the prime rib roast and serve with the gravy.
