Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked carrots, grated
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 slices of bread
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the grated carrots, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, melted butter, and milk.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and baking powder.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Spread the carrot cake batter on one slice of bread and top with the other slice of bread.
- Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
