Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butterscotch chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla until light and fluffy. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until combined. Stir in the butterscotch chips.
  3. Press the dough into the prepared pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until lightly browned. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
