- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

- 2 cups whole milk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the flour and vanilla extract until combined. Mix in the walnuts and chocolate chips, if desired.
- Spread the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs until combined. Pour the mixture over the brownie batter.
- Bake for 40 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
