Ingredients
1/4 cup olive oil
1 onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup vodka
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the crushed tomatoes, vodka and cream and bring to a simmer.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve over cooked pasta.
