Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup almonds, chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the almond extract, baking powder and baking soda and mix until combined.
  4. Add the flour and mix until all ingredients are blended.
  5. Stir in the chopped almonds.
  6. Drop teaspoonfuls of the dough onto a greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  8. Let cool before serving.
