Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter
1 pound lean beef, cut into strips
1 onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup sour cream
Directions
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the beef strips and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
Add the onion and garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Add the mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt and pepper and cook for 3 minutes.
Stir in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
Stir in the sour cream and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve over egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
