Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed and halved

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and ¼ cup of water. Set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  3. Add the beef strips to the hot skillet and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the green beans, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the green beans are crisp-tender.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and pour the sauce mixture over the beef and green beans.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and green beans.
  7. Season the stir-fry with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot over steamed rice.
