Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 4 cups cubed bread (white or wheat)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and celery and sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cubed bread, thyme, sage, rosemary, marjoram, garlic powder, pepper, and salt. Add the sautéed onion and celery, and mix together.
- Add the chicken broth and mix until all of the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes.
