Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and celery and sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, mix together the cubed bread, thyme, sage, rosemary, marjoram, garlic powder, pepper, and salt. Add the sautéed onion and celery, and mix together.
Add the chicken broth and mix until all of the ingredients are evenly distributed.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes.
