Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch prepared pie crust
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • Whipped cream, for serving

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place the prepared pie crust on a baking sheet.
  2. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, sugar, cornstarch, and eggs until combined. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble, about 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  4. Arrange the banana slices over the top of the pie. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the custard is set. Allow to cool before serving.
  5. Serve with whipped cream.
