Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until almost smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in.
  6. Add the flour last, mix until ingredients are well incorporated.
  7. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes, or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let bread cool in pan for at least 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack.
