Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread, cut into cubes
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Spread the bread cubes in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes and stir until combined.
  5. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and pecans.
  6. Sprinkle over the top of the casserole.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm with additional maple syrup, if desired.
