In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, onion, cilantro, cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and shape into 4 patties.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
Remove the patties from the skillet and place on a baking sheet. Top each patty with 1/4 cup of cheese and bake for 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
Serve the patties on toasted hamburger buns.
