- 2 cups all-purpose flour

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the buttermilk and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
