Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix together melted butter, cocoa powder, sugar, eggs and vanilla extract.
  3. Add baking soda, flour, coconut and walnuts. Mix until blended.
  4. Pour batter into a greased 9-inch cake pan.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool and then serve.
