Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, vanilla extract, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
- Place the chicken breasts in a ziplock bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the chicken. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and nicely charred. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
- Serve the honey vanilla chicken with steamed rice and vegetables. Enjoy!
