Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups peeled and chopped apples
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the melted butter, flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt. Press the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the apples, white sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the crust.
  4. In a small bowl, stir together the water, melted butter, confectioners' sugar and vanilla extract. Drizzle over the apple mixture.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown.
