Cookie Mix in a Jar III

Ingredients

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 cup packed brown sugar
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugars, baking soda, and salt. Stir until ingredients are combined.
2. Add the walnuts or pecans and chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed.
3. Pour mixture into a 1-quart jar and seal with a lid.
4. Attach a tag with the following instructions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a cookie sheet. In a medium bowl, cream 1/2 cup softened butter or margarine, 1 egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Add the cookie mix and stir until blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
