Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 red pepper, roasted, seeded and diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add warm water and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Knead dough until it is soft and pliable.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a large circle about 1/4-inch thick.
- Transfer dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine roasted pepper, garlic, olive oil, paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt and lemon juice. Mix until combined.
- Remove bread from oven and let cool slightly. Serve with roasted pepper sauce.
