Ingredients

  • 3-4 lb pork shoulder, trimmed of excess fat
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt and pepper.
  3. Place the pork shoulder in a roasting pan and coat it with the sauce.
  4. Cover the roasting pan with foil and bake for 2 hours, or until the pork is tender.
  5. Remove the foil and continue to bake for another 30 minutes, or until the pork is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the pork from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  7. Using two forks, pull the pork apart into shreds and serve with your favorite sides.
