Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup marsala wine or liqueur
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
  • Optional: Fresh berries for garnish

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Whisk in the marsala wine or liqueur until well combined.
  3. Place the bowl over a double boiler and whisk constantly until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove the bowl from the heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
