Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup dark rum
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Grind the walnuts in a food processor until they are finely chopped and set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey and the rum until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, butter, and salt until combined.
  5. Add the chopped walnuts to the flour mixture and stir until combined.
  6. Press the mixture into a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom.
  7. Pour the honey and rum mixture over the top of the crust.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tart is golden brown.
  9. Allow the tart to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
