Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup caramel bits

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips, pecans, and caramel bits until evenly distributed.
  5. Drop the dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly toasted. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
