Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken into small pieces
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil, for garnish
Directions
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the beef broth, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
