Ingredients

  • 1/2 block extra-firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Irish stout
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Oil for frying

Directions

  1. In a food processor, combine the tofu, walnuts, Irish stout, bread crumbs, garlic, oregano, smoked paprika, black pepper, and sea salt. Pulse until mixture is combined and has a chunky texture.
  2. Transfer mixture to a bowl and add the flour. Mix until fully combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  4. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Fry the patties for 5 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.
