Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup chopped toffee bars
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the 1/2 cup butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; stir into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Fold in the chopped toffee bars and chocolate chips. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch.
- To make the frosting, cream together the cream cheese, 1/2 cup butter, and confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract. Spread over the cooled cake.
