Ingredients

  • 2 steaks (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 cup of sliced mushrooms
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Rub the steaks with the olive oil, garlic, and thyme. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  4. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside to rest.
  5. Add the butter to the skillet and melt.
  6. Add the mushrooms and sauté for 3-4 minutes, or until softened. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Return the steaks to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes. Serve with the mushrooms.
