Ingredients
- 2 steaks (ribeye or sirloin)
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 cup of sliced mushrooms
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Rub the steaks with the olive oil, garlic, and thyme. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
- Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside to rest.
- Add the butter to the skillet and melt.
- Add the mushrooms and sauté for 3-4 minutes, or until softened. Season with salt and pepper.
- Return the steaks to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes. Serve with the mushrooms.
