Ingredients

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of finely chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix with a spoon until combined.
  2. Add the vegetable oil and warm water to the bowl and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and walnuts.
  6. Roll the dough into a 12-inch square and spread the butter mixture over the dough.
  7. Roll up the dough like a jellyroll, starting from one of the long sides.
  8. Cut the dough into 12 even pieces.
  9. Line a baking dish with parchment paper and place the buns in the dish, leaving some space between them.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Let cool before serving.
