In a large bowl, mix together chili powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Add the beef strips and mix to coat.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and cook until brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Add the onions, bell peppers, and jalapeño to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the tomato sauce and beef broth and bring to a boil.
Add the cooked beef strips back to the skillet and stir to combine. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
Using two forks, shred the beef. Serve with your favorite side dish.
