Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Stir into creamed mixture.
  4. Press mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 8x8 inch baking pan.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together peanut butter and chocolate chips.
  7. Spread over the baked crust.
  8. Bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  9. Let cool before cutting into bars.
