Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 orange, zest and juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine the orange juice, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, sriracha sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the beef slices and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the garlic, ginger, and red bell pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the pepper is slightly tender.
  4. Pour in the orange sauce mixture and stir well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and toss to combine with the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat the beef through.
  6. Garnish with orange zest and green onions. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
