Ingredients

  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8 inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the sour cream, cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add the eggs, oil and milk; beat until smooth.
  4. Spread half of the batter in the prepared pan. Top with the sour cream mixture. Sprinkle with pecans. Spread the remaining batter over the top. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
