Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (16 oz) package macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and bell pepper until beef is browned and vegetables are softened.
  2. Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, sloppy joe mixture, 1 1/2 cups of the cheddar cheese, sour cream, and milk. Stir until combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese on top.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
