Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt

  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 pita bread rounds
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and halved

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. Add the chicken and pork to the marinade and toss until well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
  3. In the meantime, prepare the tzatziki sauce by combining the Greek yogurt, diced cucumber, chopped dill, lemon juice, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated chicken and pork onto skewers, alternating between the two meats.
  6. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and slightly charred.

  8. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
