1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
3 cups cooked penne pasta
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Directions
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
Add the chicken pieces and season with oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt and black pepper. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
Add the chicken broth and cream to the skillet and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese and cook for 1 minute.
Serve the chicken-pasta garnished with fresh parsley.
