Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture.
  4. Stir in the oats, walnuts, and white chocolate chips.
  5. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
  7. In a small bowl, whip the cream until it is thick and spreadable. Spread the frosting over the cooled cookies.
