Ingredients

  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add sugar, and continue beating until glossy.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat egg yolks until thick. Add vanilla extract and beat until combined.
  4. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold into egg whites, then fold in egg yolks. Do not overmix.
  5. Drop dough by teaspoon onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
