Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 4 bell peppers, halved and seeded

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain off any fat.
  3. Stir in the cooked rice, onion, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. Cook until the onion is tender.
  4. Stir in the shredded cheese.
  5. Spoon the mixture into the bell pepper halves.
  6. Place the bell pepper halves in a baking dish and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the bell peppers are tender.
