Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup dark rum
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Once the butter is melted, add in the rum and stir until combined.
  3. Add the sugar, and stir until it is completely dissolved.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the mixture to cool.
  6. Once cool, transfer the rum-butter to a container and store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
