Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts
  • 6 strips of bacon
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

  1. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any outer leaves that are wilted or discolored. Cut the Brussels sprouts in half lengthwise.
  2. Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove the cooked bacon from the skillet and drain on a paper towel. Crumble the bacon into small pieces and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet with the bacon grease, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the Brussels sprouts to the skillet and season with paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss to coat the Brussels sprouts evenly with the spices.
