Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Oil for frying

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Stir in the melted butter and milk until the mixture forms a soft dough.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/4-inch thickness.
  4. Cut the dough into 2-inch rounds and transfer to a baking sheet.
  5. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  6. Fry the puffs in batches until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve.
