Ingredients

  • 4 large portobello mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

Directions

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat.
  2. Clean the portobello mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, oregano, dried basil, thyme, pepper, and salt.
  4. Brush the mushrooms all over with the garlic mixture.
  5. Place the mushrooms on the preheated grill, and cook for 5 minutes per side, or until tender.
  6. In a medium bowl, mix together the parsley, fresh basil, 1/4 cup olive oil, and 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar.
  7. Serve the grilled mushrooms with the herb sauce.
