Ingredients

  • 1 pound of your favorite pasta
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup of white wine
  • 1/4 cup of freshly chopped basil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the tomatoes and white wine and bring to a simmer. Cook until the sauce has reduced and thickened slightly, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Add the chopped basil and season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  6. Serve the pasta with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
