Ingredients

  • 4 fish fillets, such as cod or haddock
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup oyster sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup cut vegetables, such as bell peppers, carrots, and mushrooms

Directions

  1. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour and 1 tablespoon of the oil.
  2. Dredge the fish in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  3. Heat the remaining oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the fish and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the oyster sauce, soy sauce, water, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Pour the sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the vegetables and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
  6. Serve the fish and vegetables with the sauce spooned over the top.
