Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

Add butter and mix until crumbly.
Stir in dates and walnuts.
In a small bowl, beat egg and vanilla extract together. Add to the flour mixture and mix until dough forms.
Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Remove from baking sheet and let cool on wire rack.
