Ingredients

  • 2 bottles of red wine
  • 1 cup of brandy
  • 2 oranges, peeled and juiced
  • 1 lemon, peeled and juiced
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • 2 teaspoons of ground cardamom
  • 1/2 cup of raisins
  • 1/2 cup of blanched almonds

Directions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, combine the wine, brandy, orange juice, lemon juice, and honey. Stir until the honey is completely dissolved.
  2. Add the cinnamon sticks, cloves, cardamom, raisins, and almonds to the pot and stir until everything is evenly mixed.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Strain the mixture into a large pitcher, discarding the solids. Serve warm and enjoy!
