Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cold water
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
- 1/2 cup chopped green onion
- 1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
- 1/2 cup chopped cooked bacon
- Okonomiyaki sauce
- Japanese mayonnaise
- Bonito flakes (optional)
Directions
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
- Add the cold water and mix until a smooth batter forms.
- Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add the oil.
- Add the cabbage, green onion, mushrooms and bacon to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
- Pour the batter over the vegetables and spread it evenly with a spatula.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes, until the bottom is golden brown and the top is set.
- Flip the pancake and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- Serve with okonomiyaki sauce, Japanese mayonnaise and bonito flakes (optional).
